  • Biodiversity and Ecosystem Functioning (BEF) research
  • Interactions between organisms as well as between organisms and abiotic compounds and the development of these in the course of environmental changes
  • What drives the coexistence of species?
  • Combine theoretical work with empirical by verifying theories experimentally or gaining new knowledge by confronting theory with field observations

Apr 2008: Diploma Thesis: Effects of the introduced Japanese seaweed Sargassum muticum on benthic communities in the south- east Northsea, in cooperation with the Wattenmeerstation Sylt of the Alfred-Wegener Insitute (AWI)
