Participating Artists

As part of the Leuphana Urban Art Project, artists from a diverse range of nationalities – e.g. from Europe, North America, South America, and Africa – have been invited to ‘conquer’ Lueneburg’s urban space with their works. They will be working with various artistic mediums: classic murals, graffiti, cut-outs, installations, sculptures, and performances. With its broad spectrum of stylistic, technical, and contextual forms, the Urban Art Project promises to be a landmark event in the development and presentation of contemporary urban art.

The artists participating in this event count among the leading figures in their genre or among a new generation of emerging creative producers – their work being an indication of the future direction of artistic aesthetics. Without compromising their deep rootedness in urban culture and the public sphere, these artists are already being represented by prestigious museums and galleries worldwide.
