Graffiti artist Trica resides and works in Lueneburg, thus hailing as a local patriot at the Leuphana Urban Art Project. His graffiti career began in 1985 with his first tries at tagging a recycled glass container. One year later, more precisely in January 1986, Trica tried his hand at large-format graffiti – hence the number in his artist name. Over the years, the Lueneburg artist continued to intensively develop his artistic skills but also his contacts within the Northern German scene – soon making a name for himself as Trica186 within the graffiti world. Since 1991 Trica has been doing private commission painting, both in Lueneburg and in many other cities throughout Germany. Legendary for the Hamburg scene is certainly his annual group painting event in celebration of his birthday, with numerous regional graffiti writers in attendance, where they all collaboratively design approved walls in the city of Lueneburg.
