Your Application
Step 2: Your online application
As soon as you have chosen a major from the Leuphana Bachelor’s program or decided on your teaching subject in the teacher education program, you can start to apply online. All you have to do is fill out the application form, press the Send Off button, print out your own copy, and then mail us a signed copy along with the required documents. Your application must have been received by July 15. The online application link will be activated in mid-May. Applicants with a foreign university entrance certificate should send their applications separately through Uni-Assist in Berlin (click on the "International Application" button in the menu).
Step 3: admissions interview or test
Now we would like to get to know you and give you the opportunity to demonstrate your personal skills and accomplishments. In most major subjects and also in the teacher education program, applicants are invited for an interview or a test during the first weeks of August. You will receive the letter of invitation at the end of July or beginning of August. Applicants from outside the EU will not be invited, because they are subject to a separate application procedure.
Step 4: Acceptance and Enrollment
Acceptance letters are generally sent by mail by mid-August. If you have taken an admissions test, you will be notified in writing after mid-August. Students on the waiting list will receive a final decision by mid-September. If you have received notice of admission, there are still a few formalities that need to be taken care of. You will receive full information on the enrollment procedure, including your student ID card, by mid-September. The semester officially starts in October with the Kick-off Week, which will introduce you to the College and your fellow students. During the Kick-off Week, you will get started with your first project.
If you have already enrolled at Leuphana or any other university and want to be transferred to a higher semester in your degree program, you will be subject to a different application procedure (see the "Advanced Semester" button in the menu).
