Admissions interview

Admissions interviews are conducted for applicants to the following Majors:

6.-7. August 2013

• Umweltwissenschaften
• Studium Individuale
• Digital Media

15.-16. August 2013

• Lehrerbildung Grund-, Haupt- und Realschule

Foreign applicants from non-EU countries with a foreign university entrance certificate will be admitted under a "special quota". These students will be subject to separate admissions arrangements (for further information, please click on the "International Applicants" button in the menu.

The admissions interviews are an important part of the overall admissions process. They serve to select highly motivated applicants who are particularly well suited for Leuphana College. They also give applicants the opportunity to improve their overall ranking on the admissions process.



The admission examination will be held before or after the admission interview. The average results from both parts will be added to the overall score.

In addition to having conversations with university professors, former students and experts in the field, you will get to know the campus so you can get your own impression of Leuphana University of Lüneburg. 

The result of the admissions interview is taken into account in the final admissions decision.  You can gain a maximum of 25 additional points, which will be averaged with your examination result. Notification of the admissions decision will be sent to you only a few days after the admissions interview.

Whether you will be invited to an admissions interview depends on the result of the first stage of the admissions process (grade point average and extra-curricular activities). Applicants assigned a very high point value in the first stage (the top 25 percent) will receive an admissions offer even without undergoing an interview.

If you have not been invited to an interview, you will either receive a letter of acceptance because of your superior placement in the first admissions stage, or you will be placed on the waiting list and receive final notification in mid-September.
