Admissions interview - Services provided

Overnight accommodation
Those travelling a considerable distance can spend the night free of charge in a seminar room of the university. Please remember to bring a sleeping bag and a sleeping pad. Showers are available. Please register beforehand at the InfoPortal. The Lüneburg Youth Hostel, located within five minutes walking distance from the campus, also offers accommodation for overnight stays.
Travel cost reimbursement
In most cases, travel costs can unfortunately not be reimbursed. However, if you receive Schüler-BAföG, or if one of your parents receives Unemployment Benefit II or any benefits under the Act on Benefits for Asylum Seekers, or if you have travelled more than 300 kilometers, we will reimburse part of your travel costs upon request. Reimbursement can be applied for at the InfoPortal by submitting the relevant documentary evidence (such as proof of Schüler-BAföG, original train ticket, copy of ID card as proof of place of residence) on the day of the interview or up to two weeks thereafter. In general, costs should be kept to a minimum (i.e. by buying a second class ticket).
Childcare
During the admissions interview and admissions examination, Leuphana University of Lüneburg offers infant and child care. Children will be cared for in small groups by trained professionals. If you need childcare during you admissions interview or exam, please register at the InfoPortal.
Orientation program
We not only want to get to know you; we want, as well, to give you the opportunity to see as much of Leuphana as possible. Students in advanced semesters, lecturers, and other staff members of university will be there for you, offering an interesting program. For more detailed information, please visit our website in July.
