Language and Culture
This perspective offers courses in numerous languages and at all levels of instruction. Its aim is to teach students foreign language skills and to develop and expand their already existing knowledge of foreign languages.
Besides straightforward knowledge of foreign languages the courses also convey a distinct understanding of intercultural connections which are essential for the confident and successful use of a language.
Students, who after graduation seize job opportunities in an international context, will receive intense preparation to communicate in an efficient, professional and successful manner. Students will be taught how to avoid and/or to solve linguistic and cultural misunderstandings
The modules of the perspective language and culture are subdivided into four areas reflecting the skills to be acquired:
- Communication in an academic and professional context
- Intercultural studies and further foreign language development
- Language projects
- Semi-autonomous language learning (Certificates)
