Minors offered to accompany the Cultural Studies Major

In order to individualize the cultural studies curriculum and to add a meaningful supplement, students decide on a suitable minor (a supplementary, or side discipline). The cultural studies major can be combined with the minor fields listed below. Other combinations are possible, if approved by the major advisor.
The following degree combinations are recommended:
- Educational Sciences: for additional qualifications in education and training
- Digital Media/ Information Technology & Culture: Understanding computers in cultural professions
- Political Science: for technical knowledge, practical skills and imaginative thinking about (cultural) politics and administration
- Sustainability in Humanities: Sustainable Development for understanding and developing future-oriented, long-term effective solutions
- Sustainability in Natural Sciences
- Spatial sciences: for specialized knowledge in the fields of spatial planning and economy, as well as cultural and economic geography
- Business Economics: for management skills
- Philosophy: for an historical and systematic overview of the history of philosophy and the most important contemporary debates
- Economics: for a basic understanding of micro- and macroeconomic processes
- Business psychology: for a comprehensive knowledge of human motivations and behavioral processes
- Law (Corporate and Business Law): for legal and business administrative abilities
