Leuphana on its way

How do the new Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Culture define their profile in research and teaching? What is the Innovation Incubator’s contribution to the region’s development? What activities do students at Leuphana commit themselves to? What are the plans for future development of the campus?

Over the past years, Leuphana University of Lüneburg has broken new ground with its strategic realignment. To present and discuss the present status of development, both lecturers and university staff members already gave an insight into their projects, fields of work and research activities during the last winter semester.

On 12 April 2011, this series of events will be continued with, among others, events focusing on academic initiatives, education and culture, the Professional School, the Innovation Incubator as well as on questions regarding equal opportunities and campus development.

The first event held in the summer semester 2011 is entitled "Perspectives in Cultural Studies: Faculty and Research between Culturalisation, Economisation, and Globalisation." Prof. Dr. Peter Pez (Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Professor for Urban and Culture Area Research), Prof. Dr. Volker Kirchberg (Vice Dean for Research at the Faculty of Culture and Professor for Cultural Mediation and Cultural Organisation), Associate Prof. Dr. Rolf Großmann (Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Culture and Professor for Music and Auditive Culture as well as Digital Media/Cultural Information Systems) as well as PD Dr. Ulf Wuggenig (Academic Director of the Art Room) jointly present the faculty.

University members and citizens of the City and District of Lüneburg alike are warmly invited to join these events.
