Teaching
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Deller
All topics covered in class are theoretically grounded and enriched with practical examples. Teaching should be both: Scientifically sound and related to practice.
The transfer to practice is ensured through own experiences in management and consulting.
Colleagues at the institute offer classes that combine the strengths of academic disciplines of business, law, and psychology alike.
Depending on demand courses are offered in English.
Practical Relevance and Methods
For us, teaching means transmitting up-to-date research in combination with examples from practice in both academic and corporate settings. A central approach is to stress how practice can benefit from research.
Lectures, seminars, and learning projects are all part of Jürgen Deller's teaching repertoire. Projects are designed to provide students with insights to research (e.g., repatriate knowledge transfer) as well as to sensitize students for their social responsibility (e.g., applicant training for high school graduates with low degrees " Hauptschulabsolventen")
In addition, the goal of the projects is to provide students with personal contacts they would not have access to otherwise and ease their transition to the labor market.
Classes
Prof. Deller offers classes for bachelor students of business psychology as well as master students of human resources management.
