Scholarships
Leuphana University of Lüneburg awards scholarships to outstanding students of partner universities and other foreign universities for a study or research abroad period in Lüneburg.
Study scholarships
Candidates eligible for a study scholarship are undergraduate and graduate students. Study scholarships will be awarded in the amount of up to 650 euros (undergraduate students) to 750 euros (graduate students) per month, paid for a full semester (4-5 months).
Applications for a study scholarship must include the following documents:
- Application form fully completed and signed by the applicant and the home institution
- Detailed study proposal
- Official academic transcript and, if applicable, degree certificates with above-average marks
- Letter of recommendation issued by a professor of the home institution
Application deadline:
- by 15 May of each year for the winter semester
- by 15 November of each year for the summer semester.
Research scholarships
Research scholarships are available for international Ph.D. students only. Ph.D. students will receive 1,000 euros per month for a research period of 2 months (minimum) up to 6 months (maximum) at Leuphana University of Lüneburg.
Applications for a scholarship must include the following documents:
- Application form fully completed and signed by the applicant and the home institution
- Detailed research proposal
- Official academic transcript and, if applicable, degree certificates with above-average marks
- Letter of recommendation issued by a professor of the home institution
- Receipt of conformation of Leuphana supervisor
- Proof of German Profiency (if applicable)
There is no official deadline for applications for research scholarships. However, applications should be sent no later than three months prior to the envisaged research period.
