Cost of Living

Compared to some other European countries, the cost of living in Germany is rather low. The standard cost of living for students amounts to 680 euros per month, but of course this varies depending on the individual lifestyle.

The service fees include reduced prices for meals in the University canteen, the Kulturticket as well as the so-called Semesterticket, which allows students to use all local buses in Lüneburg and the surrounding area as well as all regional trains within Lower Saxony and to Hamburg, Lübeck and Bremen free of charge by presenting their student ID card and their personal ID card or passport.
