Top researcher joins the Center for the Study of Democracy

Yesterday, Prof. Dr. Christian Welzel, previously at the Jacobs University Bremen, accepted the call by Leuphana University Lueneburg to become Professor of Political Culture at the Center for the Study of Democracy. As a highly renowned researcher in the areas of civil society, value change and modernization a.o. as well as in his function as vice-president of the World Value Surveys, Prof. Welzel will make a significant contribution to the study of democracy at ZDEMO. Two more post-doctoral researchers will come with him and start their work at the Center. The ZDEMO is looking forward to a fruitful and successful cooperation.
