The Center for the Study of Democracy (ZDEMO) at Leuphana University Lüneburg conducts research on democratic structures and procedures in politics and society, economics and the environment. The Center's research activities focus on three main areas: Governing and leadership; institutional change, and civil society and participation in modern democracies. The Center also sponsors and engages in graduate (MA and PhD) training and supports high-level scholarly exchange on democracy research and methods. mehr
