1st edition of the International Summer School of Arts and Sciences for Sustainability in Social Transformation (ASSiST)

The International Summer School of Arts and Sciences for Sustainability in Social Transformation (ASSiST), directed by IKKK associate researcher Sacha Kagan, is a collaboration between the international network Cultura21, Cultura21 Nordic (Copenhagen), the International Council for Cultural Centers (Sofia), the Latin American Network of Art for Social Transformation (Buenos Aires) and the Center for the Study of Culture and Society (CSCS - in Bangalore). ASSiST is supported by The Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) as a follow-up project of the Dialogue on Arts, Culture & Climate Change (Beijing, 2008), and by the Municipality of Gabrovo (Bulgaria).

Sacha Kagan will open the 1st edition of ASSiST with a speech on the main theme of the school for 2010: “Walking and Places: building transformations”.
