John P. Weche Gelübcke is a research associate and Ph.D. student in the Department of Empirical Economics and a member of the Institute of Economics. He is currently working on his thesis, Essays on Foreign-Controlled Firms in Germany. Further research interests include international firm activities and transition economies.
John P. Weche Gelübcke studied Economic and Social Sciences at the Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Debrecen, Hungary with a focus in Empirical Economics and European Studies.
Awards
- Young Researcher Award in the category excellent presentation on conferences with open competition, awarded by the Faculty of Economics (2011).
- Ehrensenator-Westermann Award for the best final thesis in Economic and Social Sciences, awarded by the University Society of Lüneburg (2011).
