Pim Martens leitet das International Centre for Integrated assessment and Sustainable development (ICIS) an der Maastricht University. Er ist dort Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Nachhaltige Entwicklung und seit 2010 Gastprofessor an der Leuphana. An der Aberystwyth University in Wales hat er zudem eine Leverhulme Honorarprofessur am Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences.
