Participation at EUROGEO 2016 in Malaga, Spain (IYGU)

29.09.2016 Call for abstracts: EUROGEO: Geographic Information: for a better world 29th – 30th of September 2016.

The conference will be organised in conjunction with the Real Sociedad Geographica, the Asociación de Geógrafos Espanoles and the Geography Department at Malaga University in Spain. See planned sessions.

EUROGEO will focus on the transformative nature of geographic information, the ways geographers are thinking spatially about people, environments, and the relationships between them and how they can contribute to the achievement of a better world.

Central questions:

  • How can geographic information be used to support a way of observing and appreciating the relationship we have with the world around us?
  • Does the use of geographic information give us the necessary tools we need to think spatially, navigate our world and make wise decisions about people, environments, and the relationships between them?
  • How should education respond to the ever-increasing importance of geographic information?

Extension for IYGU papers till 31th of July. Early bird rates are still available for registrations. Please use the registration form to submit your abstract.
