Individual Coaching: KODE Competence Diagnostics

The tasks of female early career researchers are complex: in addition to raising their academic profile, they include teaching, advising students, working on university policy committees, (inter- and transdisciplinary) cooperation, giving lectures, attending conferences, (international) networking, etc., as well as strategically developing their own careers. In order to be able to manage all this well, a variety of competences are required. In the competence biographical interview based on the computer-assisted self-assessment KODE® (developed by Erpenbeck and Heyse in 2007), we take a look at the roles in which you act in your work contexts and which skills you like to use often and which ones you use less. The coaching serves to sensitise you to your own skills that are preferably shown and also to those that are required and need to be strengthened for specific fields and roles.

In German, Dr. Anja Thiem will conduct the individual coaching sessions. In the first weeks there will be a short preliminary talk of 15 minutes with her, followed by the computer-based self-assessment "KODE®" with a competence diagnosis and development tool, which will take about 20 minutes. The final reflection meeting will take about an hour.

Bettina Gebhardt from the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) offers coaching for English speakers. She, too, will first carry out a computer-assisted self-assessment "KODE®" with a competence diagnosis and development tool. The final reflection meeting will take about 1 ½ hours.
