SUMMARY:A Grant to Fund my Own Position – How does that work?
DESCRIPTION:For an academic career, the postdoc phase is crucial, but fundi
 ng is scarce, and often the continued reliance on a more experienced academ
 ic to provide the funding is at odds with the necessity to strengthen your 
 scientific independence. Third-party funding lines that allow you to financ
 e your own position for several years are thus highly desired. In this shor
 t workshop, we will have a look at several such funding lines, such as Emmy
  Noether, Change!, MSCA, DFG Research Grant, or the Walter-Benjamin Program
 . We will look at conditions and requirements as well as challenges and lim
 its of these programs, to assist you in finding the right one for you.\n\n\
 n\nThis event is part of the German Postdoc Appreciation Week. Leuphana res
 earchers can register via the intranet, as usual. Researchers from other un
 iversities are asked to register via email to the department for personnel
