DESCRIPTION:This is an event organised by the TUHH Graduate Academy, taking
  place online on two dates:\n\nTue, April 21, 2026, 9.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.Tu
 e, April 28, 2026, 9.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.\n\nGoals: Participants are familia
 r with the approach of decentralized software, media and text development i
 n agile workflows. In doing so, they will implement the topics covered in a
 n action-oriented manner.\n\nContent Outline: With platforms such as GitHub
  or GitLab, decentralized, interdisciplinary teams can work together on cod
 e and text projects. This form of collaboration is increasingly changing wo
 rk processes in research and teaching and opens up new possibilities for pr
 oject management, data collection and analysis, the joint writing and publi
 cation of scientific texts and the creation of teaching materials.\n\nThe w
 orkshop introduces corresponding workflows and techniques and provides prac
 tical insights into the following topics:\n\nIntroduction to the basics and
  culture of Git, GitHub and GitLabPossibilities of project management with 
 GitLabCreating and managing groups and projectsProject-specific wikis for t
 he accompanying documentation of projectsConcepts and best practices for wo
 rking with Office documentsFirst steps for collaborative work on text and c
 ode projects (scientific articles, websites, teaching material, etc.)Workin
 g in the browser and on your own computer\n\nMethods: Online webinar sessio
 ns of 3.5 hours each on two mornings a week apart to allow sufficient time 
 for follow-up and preparation before the second session.\n\nTrainer: Axel D

 been teaching computer science topics from a technical and philosophical pe
 rspective for more than fifteen years. In his work as scientific advisor to
