Doctoral Research Group
Economics

The doctoral research group comprises the fields of economics and econometrics and is associated to the same-named Department within the Faculty of Economics. In 2009, the economic research group of Lüneburg was admitted in the CHE Excellence Ranking, which certifies particular research strength especially for master's and doctoral programs.

The research focuses of the Institute are:

  • Microeconometric Studies on International Corporate Activity, Business Demographics and Employment Dynamics and Industrial Relations
  • Economic Analysis for Regulation or Deregulation and of Insurance Markets
  • Education, Health, Labor and Personnel Economics
  • Financial Markets

The respective faculty confers the following doctoral degree:

Doctorate in Economics, Social and Political Sciences (Dr. rer. pol.)
