Leuphana Graduate School welcomes you to the panel discussion "Research>>Freedom"!

Quo vadis Academic Freedom?

Academic freedom in teaching and research has repeatedly been the focus of international reporting in recent years. Whether it is the closure of the Central European University in Hungary, the accusation of terror by Turkish academics who signed a peace petition, or the disrupted academic relations between Russia and european countries since the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine: academic freedom seems to be in danger.

In the moderated panel discussion Research >> Freedom as part of the Graduate Kick-off, we want to address current controversies regarding academic freedom from a global and local Leuphana perspective. Together with scholars from Leuphana and our partner universities as well as civil society, we want to critically ask the question: Quo vadis academic freedom?
