PELP Student body
The PELP Student Organisation examines the content and organisation of your degree programme. Amongst other things, the Student Organisation runs the quality circle (german) for the Masters in partnership with the major advisor and the programme administrator. The Student Organisation can also answer your questions on aspects of everyday student life. Simply e-mail fg.pelp@leuphana.de.
Student Initiatives
A wide range of student initiatives are run at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. The student initiative umbrella association, the "Dachverband der Studierendeninitativen" (DSi) publishes the Initiativenkompass guide which lists all current initiatives.
One example of the wide range of student initiatives is the Policy Lab. The Policy Lab was set up by students on the PELP Masters programme in 2013, and now also has many members from other degree programmes.
Semester Abroad
Students on this Masters programme have the opportunity to spend a semester of their course abroad. We recommend the third semester. The range of possible destinations to date has included Brisbane in Australia, Tartu in Estonia, Johannesburg in South Africa and many others. For any questions or to apply, please contact the International Office. The International Office will provide all further information on Erasmus+ funding, and on preparing for and organising your semester abroad.
Public Policy and Good Governance
The Masters in Political Science - Public Economics, Law and Politics is part of the Public Policy and Good Governance Programme (PPGG) run by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The programme aims to train future leaders in politics, business, law and administration in the principles of good governance, and by so doing to establish democratic economic and social structures that tackle social injustice. The relatively high proportion of international students on the Political Science - PELP programme offers a good opportunity to promote intercultural exchange, and to gain an insight into and discuss perspectives from different societies.
The PPGG programme is coordinated by the International Office.
Additional Qualifications
The MasterSkills of the Graduate School and the Writing Centre promote the interdisciplinary skills of Masters students through various workshops or coaching sessions.
