Education for Sustainable Development

The working group on teaching and learning for sustainable development is interdisciplinary and bases its research and educational practice on the concept of education for sustainable development (ESD).

Currently, the working group is responsible for the teaching of about 400 students in the Bachelor of Teaching and Learning and the Master of Primary Education (as of summer semester 22). Together with the Leuphana Teaching Service and in cooperation with all the stakeholders involved, we are continuously developing new teaching methods in the subject area. You can find information on the study of subject-specific teaching at Leuphana here.

The working group contributes to the development of education for sustainable development in research and teaching at Leuphana University Lüneburg through project-related and long-term cooperation with national and international scientific and pedagogical partners. In addition to research at university level, the working group acts in a joint learning and research process as a partner for school development and profile building in the regional educational landscape - together with different schools and diverse cooperation partners through training, further education and joint projects.
