Expertise for public sector, private sector and civil society

In addition to conducting research and teaching, Professor Heinrichs also provides his expertise to others outside the university. He works with governmental agencies and non-governmental organisations in civil society as well as with businesses in analysing and evaluating social and political developments and supporting them in developing practical approaches to strengthening their own sustainability and enabling them to make a greater contribution to a sustainable society as well as to promoting public discourse. As a consultant, public speaker or expert partner for the media, he offers his expertise on sustainability, policy-making and society. He has worked with: The Federal Ministry for Education and Research (bmbf), the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (bmub), the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA), the Austrian Federal Environmental Agency, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), German Watch, the Bertelsmann Foundation, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the city government of Freiburg (Breisgau), the city government of Lüneburg, KPMG, Consideo, the television and radio networks Arte, ORF, ARD, ZDF, RTL, NDR, SWR, the newspapers Spiegel, TAZ, Hamburg Abendblatt and many more.
