Methodology and Evaluation Research

The professorship of research methods is concerned with the development and application of statistical analysis methods to psychological data. Here, we focus on the development of time series analysis methods, particularly on methods from dynamic systems analysis. These analysis methods are well suited to characterize and quantify complex dynamics.
Moreover, we are doing research on the process of connected text reading. Specifically, we are interested in how process data (such as response times and eye movements) are related to text comprehension. Furthermore, we investigate process measures of joint action with the goal of predicting subjective and objective task outcomes based on synchronous and non-synchronous action patterns.
