Workshop: Dr. Caroline Lichuma on Due Diligence Laws and Research Methodology

The Wissenschaftsraum GoChains and the Joachim Herz Doctoral School of Law are jointly organising a workshop on due diligence laws and legal research methodology, featuring personal insights from our guest speaker, Dr Caroline Lichuma.

Caroline is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Human Rights Erlangen Nuremberg (CHREN). Her current research critically analyzes regulatory developments in Business and Human Rights. She received her PhD in International Human Rights Law (Summa cum laude) from the Georg-August University of Göttingen in Germany, her LLM in Public International from the New York University and her LLB from the University of Nairobi. Caroline is a co-rapporteur of the International Law Association's Business and Human Rights Committee and She co-edits the Business and Human Rights Journal blog.

On 16 October 2025, she will share her academic experiences, offer guidance, and present her latest research findings. She works in a highly topical, interdisciplinary and rapidly evolving research environment, so her insights will be extremely valuable to the participants. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to her for taking the time to deliver this workshop.
