Joint Doctoral Workshop: Sustainability and Law in Context

11. Mar

In collaboration with the Onderzoekcentrum voor Staat & Recht (link) at Radboud University Nijmegen, we have organised a

Doctoral Workshop on Sustainability and Law in Context.

The event will take place on 11 March 2026 at RU Nijmegen. It gives doctoral researchers the chance to present their dissertation topics or current research projects, and to receive feedback, support, and additional input. There will be four panels featuring presentations by sixteen early-career researchers, followed by joint discussion rounds and commentaries by invited discussants. The topics addressed within the panels cover the following:

  • Panel 1: Governing the Green Transition
  • Panel 2: Climate Finance, Adaptation and Economic Instruments
  • Panel 3: Sustainable Resources and Circularity
  • Panel 4: Climate Harm, Displacement and Legal Responsibility.

We are very grateful for our cooperation with Radboud University Nijmegen, and for the opportunity to send three of our doctoral students to participate in this event: Maren Solmecke and Julia Matthäus as presenters and Stephanie de Sousa Vieira as chair of Panel 3.
