Digital Business
Digital business is the generic term for all Internet- or intranet-supported business activities: It refers to business processes that use digital communication and information technologies to support the communication, collaboration and supply of customers – from product development to marketing and customer service.

Engineering (Fundamentals)
In times of continuous mechanisation and digitalisation, a basic understanding of technology is becoming increasingly important in order to actively shape transformation processes at the interface of society, economy, technology and the environment. The Minor Engineering (Fundamentals) provides an overview of the most important technologies and technology-oriented processes in the manufacturing industry.

Engineering (Advanced)
In the Engineering (Advanced) minor you will cross the boundaries of automation technology, electrical engineering and information technology. You will acquire in-depth engineering knowledge in order to design automation in digitised production processes. As a result, you have an engineering profile that is in great demand in industry 4.0 and in research.

Psychology and Society
Psychology provides unique insights with regard to societal challenges, e.g. sustainability, digitalization, public health, societal conflicts. The goal of the Psychology and Society minor is to enable you to analyse psychological processes in this context and to create applications based on psychological knowledge.

Corporate and Business Law
Hiring a new employee, negotiating with the workers' council, taking on a loan, switching legal forms, finalising a sales contract or expanding abroad – countless economic decisions in a business are made within a legal framework. In the Corporate and Business Law minor you will become familiar with this intersection of economics and law. This background will allow you to supplement your major with the legal skills provided by the minor in Corporate and Business Law.

Social Media and Information Systems
How does a search engine know what to look for next? How do social networks work?  How can open digital communication and the need for privacy be sustainably balanced? What are the economic business models behind Internet offerings? Social media, Internet-based information systems, communities and mobile Internet applications are shaping a new way of communicating.

What guides people’s behaviour? Usually it is considerations of the costs and benefits of an action that are decisive. Economics applies this principle not only to economic actors, but also to parties and politicians, bureaucracies and organisational authorities, or families.

Business Psychology
Psychology is the science of experience and behavior. Psychologists use methods from the natural and social sciences to search for patterns of psychic functions and processes. This includes perception, memory, learning, thinking, attentiveness, emotions, motivations, communication and motor skills. Business psychologists investigate these functions in an economic context. The business psychology minor provides you with information about psychological processes and patterns, while informing you about the foundations of psychological method. You are introduced to the psychological manner of thinking and made aware of how to recognise psychological patterns of experience and behavior. You learn how the field of psychology works, how to ask focused questions, how to distinguish between serious and irrelevant psychological responses or processes, and how to find qualified, expert answers from professional psychologists.
