Dr.-Ing. Hart­mut Wit­ten­berg was pro­fes­sor for hydrology, irgiation and water resource management in the tropes at Leuphana in Lüne­burg until 2011. In January 2020 he will give a sustainabiliy science lecture about "Climate, Irrigation, Land Use - Detecting the Impacts on Groundwater Balance and Low Flows of the Upper Ilmenau River, Lower Saxony".

Oonsie Biggs is an ecologist and earth system scientist. With her research she focuses on regime shifts and aims to contribute to practical scientific theory, methods and insights that can improve society's ability to anticipate high-impact tipping points, and build resilience to undesirable changes.
