Dr.-Ing. Hartmut Wittenberg was professor for hydrology, irgiation and water resource management in the tropes at Leuphana in Lüneburg until 2011. In January 2020 he will give a sustainabiliy science lecture about " Klima, Bewässerung, Landnutzung - Erfassung der Auswirkungen auf Grundwasserhaushalt und Niedrigwasser der oberen Ilmenau, Niedersachsen".

Dr. Jan Hanspach, lecturer at the Institute of Ecology of Leuphana, will give a presentation on the project "Biocultural diversity in farming landscapes of the Global South" in which he has been the research group leader since 2019. Besides his role as research group leader, Jan Hanspach is also principal investigator in the project "The future of biodiversity conservation in farming landscapes in south-eastern Australia", funded by the German Research Foundation ("Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft" DFG).

Prof. Dr. Claudia Bieling, professor at the University of Hohenheim and guest professor at the Institute of Ecology at Leuphana, will be in Lüneburg again in November and will give a Sustainability Lecture at the topic: "Exploring the normative dimensions of sustainability transformations: The relevance of prudence, justice, and the good life in landscape stewardship practices".
