Events
The summer semester has come to an end and the Self-Access Center looks back at many great events and thanks all students who joined us in this semester!
In winter semester 2023/24 the center will once again have a variety of events for all those interested in languages. Among them are the weekly language cafés and learning groups for different languages.
- In the language cafés you can improve your communication skills in the respective foreign language with the help of native speakers in a stress-free atmosphere and become more relaxed about talking in a foreign language.
- The learning groups are intended as a support and meeting place for self-learners in the field of foreign languages.
Further information about dates for the language cafés and the learning groups as well as events during the winter semester can be found on this page soon.
This semester the Self-Access Center organizes once again various events where language learners can meet and talk to each other. All events have in common that they highlight the joy of speaking and getting to know each other.

Due to a difficult economic situation, Claudina has to move in with her favorite grandson and her daughter. In the new city, Claudina meets the neighbor Elsa, an independent and married woman. Claudina starts a relationship with her and falls in love with Elsa. This set her on a journey of self-knowledge to be free, despite being judged by her daughter and friends in this religious, conservative little town obsessed with UFO sighting.
Director's statement: "I wanted to show the self-knowledge and the necessity to rediscover our own truth. I tried to revive the individual possibility to choose, clarifying that the age is not an impediment, and that freedom is a meeting with ourselves in loneliness."

What is Mondialle?
MondiALLE is an event format that has the exchange of language and culture between student as its core element. The events normally take place on a friday and each event has its own theme.
A special feature of the events is that all participants can write their names as well as the languages they can be addressed in on a piece of paper. In doing so, the students can easily find other students who speak their target language and start a conversation with them. A specific language level is not required to participate in the events.
