Strengthening digital and sustainability competencies

Digital technologies and know-how in all aspects of sustainability are now crucial for the competitiveness and future viability of companies. To enable part-time students in particular to acquire such skills, Leuphana Professional School is developing educational programs that can be studied digitally as part of the "DEGREE" project. The offerings are expected to be available starting in 2023.

Particularly the Lüneburg region, with its immediate vicinity to the economic metropolis of Hamburg, can make continuing education offerings that promote digital and sustainability skills among employees an important competitive and employment factor. The new certificate study programs to be developed are primarily aimed at those who have not yet gained any relevant study experience. The aim is to give them a better orientation before they start their studies and to enable them to deal with interdisciplinary topics during their studies.

The "DEGREE" project is funded by the European Social Fund and the state of Lower Saxony from October 2021 to December 2022.
