This summer school is an opportunity for students to focus in on one week of intensive exploration in the field of sound or video in digital cultures. This one-week program will take place in Luneburg, Germany, and is open to any undergraduate student interested in a variety of forms of media studies. Students can chose one of three parallel course streams: 1) Urban Soundscapes 2) Documentary Film 3) Audio Production. Students should be ready for extensive preparation and reading before the start of the summer school. During the week, the time outside of teaching hours will be devoted to additional course prep (such as reading, filming etc). While students have to choose between the three streams, there will be overlapping events, a welcome party, as well as a launch party.

This summer school is a collaboration between the Leuphana University Lüneburg (Center for Digital Cultures and the Institute for Culture and Aesthetics of Digital Media), the Hamburg Media School, and Lancaster University (Media and Cultural Studies, Department of Sociology), and is free of charge for Leuphana and Lancaster students.
