and Cultural Transformation

Leuphana University of Lüneburg and Arizona State University have a long history of collaboration. Some of these innovative projects are highlighted below. The Joint Center for Global Sustainability and Cultural Transformation (CGSC) takes this collaboration to the next level and aims to create a new model for international academic collaboration in the 21st century that includes:

  • excellent and innovative use-inspired research addressing fundamental challenges of the 21st century
  • educating leaders for a globally connected society with strong cross-cultural competencies using and further developing innovative virtual teaching/learning formats
  • developing and contributing to sustainability solutions in collaboration with societal actors outside and inside academia
  • analyzing the cultural and epistemological foundations of sustainability in a complex global world
