Gradskills – Skills and competencies

Leuphana supports the career development of young researchers by offering them a variety of supporting measures. They should be able to prepare themselves both for work in the academic community and for a science-based activity in industry and society. Leuphana consequently takes into account the increasing differentiation in the academic job market and the changing career perspectives of this target group that have occurred as a result.

Various facilities at Leuphana University of Lüneburg offer young researchers a wide range of services, consultations and qualification programmes that are summed up on this page.

  • The services in the category "Exploring and developing career paths" offer initial orientation for career planning.
  • For a job in academia, the services support the development of generic skills in the competence profiles "Teaching", "Research" and "Managing science and research".
  • To prepare candidates for non-academic career paths, generic skills can be developed for the profiles "Non-university labor market" and "Managing science and research". 

Please note that most of the services are held in German.
