Englisch/FSZ: Business Communications (Vorlesung)

Inhalt: Spoken and written forms of business communication, including presentations, problem-solving skills, various genres of writing (reports, essays, sales letters) will be practiced. Particular emphasis will be placed on topics such as communication styles, appropriate register, marketing and advertising as well as cross-cultural issues. Prerequisites: placement test result of B2/C1 or previous Business English coursework at the B2/C1 level.

Inhalt: This course deals with the language aspects of practical management, covering topics such as recruitment and selection, finance, marketing, as well as motivation and scientific management. Prerequisites: placement test result of B2/C1 or previous Business English coursework at level B2/C1.

Englisch/FSZ: Business Negotiations (Vorlesung)

Dozent/in: Maryann Henck

Inhalt: Theories, techniques, communication styles as well as vocabulary for negotiating in business contexts will be applied in case studies and negotiation simulations. Special emphasis will be placed on cross-cultural and gender issues as well as verbal and nonverbal tactics related to business negotiations. Prerequisites: placement test result of B2/C1 or previous Business English coursework at the B2/C1 level.
