Inhalt: “For any large company, the value of better organizational design is literally in the tens of billions of dollars of increased market value. ... We believe organizational design is the key to unlocking the opportunities of the 21st century.” McKinsey This course provides students with a profound introduction into ten selected management and organization theories and demonstrates their relevance for understanding and designing organizations. Besides theoretical concepts, teaching will be based on real life cases to provide students with a practical context for course discussions. Throughout the course, initiative, creativity, and critical thinking on the part of the students will be appreciated and encouraged. Students have to learn how to critically analyse different alternatives that are all attractive for different reasons.
