Inhalt: Innovation is a central driver of competitive advantage and economic growth. Therefore, firms increasingly aim to foster novelty systematically by organizing their innovation processes. This course looks at the idea journey presented by Perry-Smith and Mannucci and investigates the hurdles idea initiators have to overcome until the final implementation in an organization. Based on a detailed reading and discussion of recent papers published on the different phases of the idea journey, we will reflect on how innovation can be organized, and to what extent such attempts can be successful.
