Inhalt: Reading Course: The Invention of Creativity by Andreas Reckwitz This reading course focuses on an in-depth engagement with Andreas Reckwitz’s book The Invention of Creativity, which explores the sociocultural foundations of the concept of “creativity” and its central role in contemporary societies. Reckwitz provides a cultural-theoretical perspective by tracing the emergence and function of the creativity discourse and its impact on the fields of art, culture, and the economy. The course aims to provide students with foundational knowledge in cultural theory while fostering a critical understanding of the role of creativity in current cultural and social practices. Through reading, discussion, and interactive learning activities, students will develop skills in analyzing complex texts, reconstructing central concepts, and formulating independent cultural-theoretical arguments.
