Inhalt: This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of finance, with a focus on corporate financial decision-making. Topics include the objectives of financial management, the time value of money, discounted cash flow analysis, and capital budgeting techniques such as net present value and internal rate of return. The course also explores the trade-off between risk and return, portfolio diversification, and the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) as a framework for pricing risk and estimating the cost of capital. Emphasis is placed on developing analytical skills and applying financial concepts to real-world business scenarios.
