Inhalt: Within the scope of this course, the students will discuss the potential contributions of consumers to sustainable development. Based on established theories in the field of sustainable (consumer) behaviour, the students will develop own concepts to strengthen sustainable consumer behaviour and will learn to evaluate further develop existing concepts for strengthening sustainable consumer behaviour (and breaking habits of unsustainable consumer behaviour). Main contents of the seminar are: - The role of sustainable consumption in sustainability transitions. - Theories and concepts of sustainable consumption - Barriers and facilitating factors of sustainable consumption - Concepts for the promotion of sustainable consumption
