Poster exhibition on AI and ethics

2024-07-12 The poster exhibition on the ethical implications of the use of artificial intelligence starts on the upper floor of the MIZ Foyer

The debate about the possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI) has now reached the mainstream. At the same time, however, very few people are aware of the risks and problems that can go hand in hand with the use of AI.

As part of the poster exhibition of this year's complementary course "Artificial Intelligence Ethics" by Johannes Katsarov, students will present some of the ethical opportunities and risks that can go hand in hand with the use of machine learning.

The following aspects are covered:

  • deepfakes in politics, pornography and business,
  • relationships with romantic AI chatbots,
  • possible discrimination of social groups through AI-based decision-making processes,
  • opportunities and risks of AI for people with disabilities,
  • opportunities and risks for artists,
  • and the dangers of targeted advertising and influence by AI algorithms.
