Lower Saxony Studienkolleg
You can attend the Lower Saxony Studienkolleg if you have a university entrance qualification gained abroad.
If your educational background is not sufficient for university admission, you can attend a one-year preparatory course at a German Studienkolleg and take the final examination (“Feststellungsprüfung”), provided that you meet the admissions requirements of the Studienkolleg. This exam is a test that serves to assess your personal suitability for university studies in Germany; it is, however, restricted to certain subject areas like technical subjects. If you intend to do the exam, please tick the relevant box on the application form. You can also take the “Feststellungsprüfung" without attending the preparatory course. If you wish to take the “Feststellungsprüfung” (whether with or without attending the preparatory course), Uni-Assist will inform Leuphana University of Lüneburg accordingly. Then Leuphana will enroll you at the Lower Saxony Studienkolleg in Hanover and provide you with further information about the Kolleg.
