Artifical Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) has had a strong influence on university teaching in recent years. AI's ability to analyze large amounts of data and control processes automatically enables universities to improve their teaching and better support learners. At the end of November 2022, the Californian company OpenAI made a beta version of its chatbot ChatGPT based on the GPT-3 language model available for free use, opening up a new dimension of artificial intelligence in everyday life.

In the university context, this development is resulting in profound upheavals. In addition to the use of AI for image generation or literature research, the use of AI for text generation is being discussed in particular, as the dialog-oriented format makes it possible to continuously refine and adapt texts according to individual needs.

This page collects important information on the topic. In addition to specific didactic examples of the use of AI tools, you will find an overview of helpful internal and external events as well as a selection of tips and initial guidelines on how to use AI tools from various locations and organizations.

In addition, we would like to collect your impressions, opinions, tips, problems or experiences and use them for the implementation of further events. Please feel free to write to us at digi-support@leuphana.de
