Digital Platforms and Tools

Digital learning platforms, tools and the production of videos, podcasts and screencasts can significantly support teaching-learning processes. In addition to the tips and materials that we provide online for you, you can always contact the Digital Teaching Support Team of the Leuphana Teaching Service with your questions and support needs. Leuphana faculty and staff are welcome to contact digi-support@leuphana.de with any questions (students please exclusively contact stud.digi-support@leuphana.de).

Which Teaching/ Learning Platforms are Available for You to Use?

1. Moodle

Learning platform for blended learning scenarios or fully virtual course rooms. You can find further information here.

2. myPortfolio

E-portfolios are web-based "folders" for individual compilation of documents, videos, blogs and other artifacts. You can find further information here.

3. myStudy

MyStudy is the central digital platform for the organisation and support of regular teaching at Leuphana University Lueneburg. The use of MyStudy is mandatory for all teachers and students. You can find further information here.

Which Additional Digital Tools are Available to You?

1. Academic Cloud

Academic Cloud is a data protection compliant alternative to Google Docs and Dropbox for all Leuphana University members. Further information can be found here.

2. Adobe Connect (Attention: Due to Corona we recommend to work with ZOOM)

Adobe Connect is a web communication system. It enables audio/video conferences, online meetings or individual sessions to work and communicate synchronously. For more information about using Adobe Connect in teaching, click here.

3. Classroom Response Systeme

Classroom Response Systems (CRS) are used to actively engage participants, e.g. by voting. You can find further information here.

4. Etherpad

The Leuphana Etherpad allows for easy information exchange and direct communication, both simultaneous (synchronous) and delayed (asynchronous). You can find more information here.

5. TeachingWiki

Leuphana's interactive web application with which texts and images can be presented in a structured and networked form. TeachingWiki is offered for teachers. Further information can be found here.

6. Media Production

Application scenarios for videos in teaching and details on video production can be found here.

7. myVideo

Leuphana's video platform where all teachers can make their audio and video files available to students, regardless of file size. Further information can be found here.

8. Rocket.Chat

Web-based messaging service of Leuphana with a focus on group communication. Further information can be found here.

9. ZOOM

ZOOM enables you to hold video and telephone conferences in high quality with up to 300 participants. Users can set up individual meetings via ZOOM or use a personal conference room, in which students can raise their hands virtually to ask questions or make comments. This way, lectures and seminars can take place online. Further information can be found here.
