Video Conferencing
Leuphana offers various options for arranging video conferences.
We currently recommend the use of Zoom for the purpose of teaching. Zoom licenses are available to all lecturers and staff. When using these licenses, Leuphana’s strict data protection regulations apply.
For video conferences in smaller groups, we recommend using Meet/BigBlueButton in addition to Zoom, which is available via the Academic Cloud. Meet/BBB is also available to all students for the purpose of creating meetings.
Zoom and Meet/BBB offer almost identical functions, however Zoom proves to be more stable for larger groups. Meet/BBB can accommodate a maximum of 100 people, Zoom a maximum of 300. Special Zoom licenses for up to 1000 people can be rented for large events.
