RESEARCH-BASED TEACHING AND LEARNING
VARIANTS OF LEARNING THROUGH RESEARCH A SHORT INTRODUCTION
Taking different perspectives, questioning assumptions, crossing subject boundaries during dialogue – these are not just key elements of good research but also of lively teaching and learning. One way to design sustainable, lively learning to involve students in research.
An adapted didactic process is required to stimulate curiosity, transfer responsibility and initiate student projects based on own ideas or on research questions provided by the lecturers. To achieve this, it is not always necessary to create an entirely new degree programme focused around learning through research. Only limited resources are required to turn individual teaching events into sustainable, lively learning and teaching experiences at Leuphana University, as demonstrated by the high number of diverse projects across all faculties and schools presented here. Feel inspired!

EXAMPLES OF RESEARCH-BASED TEACHING AND LEARNING AT LEUPHANA
Many lecturers at Leuphana already apply research-based teaching and learning as a didactic method. The following contributions show projects presented in relation to this project at the third Leuphana Salon on 29 October 2014.
The network "Leuphana... on the right track!” is inviting all lecturersusing research-based teaching to continue the discussion by presenting their experience as a short text and/or poster as a suggestion and best-practice example. Please send your contributions to lehre@leuphana.de.
