DESCRIPTION:People with caregiving responsibilities encounter specific obst
 acles that make it difficult for them to immerse themselves in deep concent
 ration phases – even when they have the physical time to do so. Mothers*, w
 ho bear a large part of the mental and emotional load both in their family 
 and professional lives, are particularly affected by this. In this lecture,
  Dr. Wiebke Vogelaar will show, among other things, which structural condit
 ions create this gap – and how it simultaneously reinforces existing inequa
 lities in academia. The question of how care work and focus spaces can be b
 etter combined will also be addressed.The event is aimed at researchers wit
