DESCRIPTION:The “Let’s Talk Career” series invites alumni with doctoral deg
 rees to discuss entering the workforce outside of academia and the pivotal 
 moments in their career journeys. To offer a broader range of opportunities
  and perspectives, we regularly collaborate with other universities: “Let’s
  Talk Career Meets…” is a joint initiative of the graduate schools at the u
 niversities of Clausthal, Jena, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Münster, and Lüneburg. 
 This Alumni Talk at Friedrich Schiller University Jena explores career path
 s in industry:\n\nAre you thinking about leaving academia after completing 
 your PhD or postdoc? You are not alone. The majority of PhD candidates do n
 ot stay in academia for their entire career. In this talk, three STEM alumn
 i, who have successfully transitioned from academia to a career in industry
 , will share their experiences. They will give valuable advice on job hunti
 ng and application processes, career development and working outside of aca
 demia.\n\nPanel:\n\nDr. Ann-Sophie Lehnert did her PhD in chemistry and wor
 ks as a product manager at Analytik Jena.Dr. Sophie Patze did her PhD in ph
 ysical chemistry and works as a project manager at Bayer.Dr. Aman Anand did
